Wildflower Studios

Led by Bjarke Ingles Group, Sherwood Design Engineers is providing civil engineering services for Wildflower Studios. This 650,000-square foot facility located in Astoria, Queens will serve as a hub for the creation of a broad range of entertainment media including augmented and virtual reality. Key design elements for this project include various stages, production-support areas, open and private offices, lounges, parking, public water access, and land conservation areas for public use. Sherwood, along with the design team, employed innovative planning methods to ensure the elements for all physical, logistical, technical and experiential aspects of film production are well integrated into the site.
