Boulevard Crossing Park

Located along the Atlanta Beltline’s southeast extension, Boulevard Crossing Park is being re-developed to provide an open space that connects directly to the Beltline, integrates art, health and wellness and provides ecological restoration. This 25-acre park is one of the few large open spaces along the Beltline trail and offers an incredible opportunity to improve the site’s connection to the neighborhood, activate views to downtown and offline stormwater from the combined sewer system. Sherwood Design Engineers was brought onto the team to provide an opportunity for improving water quality of the downstream creek and integrating bioretention and stormwater storage nodes throughout the project. The integration of these performative landscape features throughout the park’s passive and active spaces will help to promote education, improve the on-site ecosystem and be a model for parks in the region.
