Ayende Thomas

PE, MD, DC | Project Engineer

Ayende earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Howard University. Upon graduating, she went on to work for Maryland Department of Transportation as a project manager and roadway designer.  She then transitioned to a focus on stormwater management and hydraulic and hydrologic design.  She built upon her water resources deign experience and began performing plan reviews and approvals for stormwater and erosion and sediment control design. She left MDOT to work for District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment where she also performed plan reviews and approvals for stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and green area ratio.

Fun Facts: Ayende’s favorite hobby is attending concerts and live music events. Her favorite past time is camping in the NC Outer Banks with her family.
