Yuxin Yang

Computational Designer

Yuxin is a technologically savvy and environmentally conscious designer who specializes in mega-infrastructure, mixed-use development, clean energy, and (coastal) water systems. Outside of her major, she has been keen on sensors and computation and incorporates the techniques into her design thinking. She previously worked as a designer and computation specialist in both the United States and China. She graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design with a Master of Landscape Architecture and cross-registered at MIT Media Lab and EECS during her studies. She has a Bachelor of Engineering from China’s Southeast University School of Architecture.

Fun Facts: After work, Yuxin enjoys building tech tools and even toys for public engagement and her apartment. She used to furnish her apartment by attaching every piece of furniture wheels and labeling everything. Working as a part-time driver as a way of urban investigation is high on her bucket list.
