Ian McRae
Ian is passionate about the processes that exist where the ecological and urban intersect. His research and modeling of complex urban systems seek to quantify environmental performance and generate empirical metrics that can aid in the design and construction of our future cities. With a Master in Landscape Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology, Ian studies the innovative potential that lies at the interface of science and design. This is pursued both as an educator, having taught at UC Berkeley and the University of Tennessee, and as an urban design consultant, evaluating alternative design proposals in future climates.
Fun Facts: Ian is a motorcycle and car enthusiast who likes to build vehicles with friends and also enjoys exploring the mountains to rock climb and backpack.
