Pauline Nguyen carries out a variety of tasks to support multiple design projects. Her responsibilities include storm drainage calculations, grading (site and accessible path of travel), code review, preparation of exhibits, and drawing modifications. She also performs technical work of civil modeling through CAD, such as with site grading analysis, basin drafting, and roadway design. While studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh, Pauline took engineering sustainability courses that sparked a major interest for sustainable solutions, infrastructure, and planning. In addition, for her senior design project prior to starting at Sherwood, she participated in designing a sustainable energy storage system based on hydraulic analysis for the San Vicente Reservoir, which received the Dean’s Choice Award during the Winter Design Review 2018. With a heightened interest towards innovation and design, Pauline hopes to make an impact in the world and apply her skill sets while learning from the variety of large and small scale projects involved.
Fun Fact: Pauline loves to travel and has been to over 22 countries, sampling various unique chip flavors everywhere she goes.
