Michael is a civil engineer who brings a broad geographic and professional perspective to the built environment. Having lived in the Midwest, the Rocky Mountains, and the East Coast, and attended universities in both the South and Southwest, he possesses a unique ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. His career spans both large corporate firms and small “mom-and-pop” consultancies, providing him with a deep understanding of varying professional cultures.
Beginning his journey as a Public Works intern, Michael has collaborated extensively with structural engineers, planners, surveyors, and IT specialists. He is passionate about civil engineering because he believes that every project, regardless of scale, provides essential value to the public and improves the shared environment.
Fun Facts: Michael lived in five different states before graduating high school, despite not being from a military family. He is an avid enthusiast of DIY projects of all kinds. He didn’t start drinking coffee until the birth of his first child in his late 20s, finally discovering its vital role in a busy lifestyle.
