
David Sand
David comes to Sherwood with over 7 years of experience in site civil engineering. David has delivered civil design, documentation, and construction administration on a wide range of projects from large government campuses to urban infill developments, parks, and single family homes. Collaborating directly with owners, architects, and contractors, David has enjoyed developing innovative solutions for clients and stakeholders that are economically feasible and environmentally responsible. Prior to joining Sherwood David led the civil design and construction administration of the multi-phased $2 billion Seattle Convention Center Summit building and provided bridging design of the stormwater and rainwater harvesting systems for the new United States Embassy compound in Juba, South Sudan.
Fun Facts: David fell in love with cycling during COVID and has completed the Seattle to Portland (STP) and the Seattle to Vancouver (RSVP) rides, both over 190 miles. David recently moved to the Bay Area from Seattle and is excited to explore all the natural beauty California has to offer via cycling, hiking, climbing, and paddling. He is also learning Swedish.
