Ashika Deshpande

Design Engineer

Ashika earned her Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in Systems Engineering from UC Berkeley. Her graduate work focused on applying modeling and systems-based approaches across civil infrastructure challenges, including earthquake damage and offset analysis, fiber optic sensing for roadway user behavior, bridge structural integrity, and wildfire evacuation planning. She previously received her B.S. in Geophysics from the University of Texas at Dallas, where her research centered on understanding seismic behavior and its impacts on communities. Through this work, she developed an interest in connecting technical analysis with real-world decision-making to address complex infrastructure challenges. She is excited to join Sherwood and contribute to impactful, community-centered work while continuing to learn from and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Fun Facts: Ashika enjoys antiquing, dancing, and reading! On weekends, she loves to find new cafes and restaurants around the city.
