Alejandro Gomez

Alejandro is passionate about sustainable water resources engineering and has experience in hydrology, hydraulics, watershed analysis, and flood risk assessment. Prior to joining Sherwood Design Engineers, he worked as a Hydrologist in Bogotá, Colombia, supporting watershed analysis and regional water management planning. He also worked as an Assistant Engineer and Teaching Professor at Escuela Colombiana de Ingenieria Julio Garavito. Alejandro is currently completing his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) at Iowa State University, where his research focuses on hydrologic modeling of wetlands and floodplains for sustainable water management.

Fun Facts: Alejandro enjoys learning piano, playing tennis and swimming, and traveling whenever he has the opportunity. His favorite place is the beach, and he loves seafood.
