About this Project
Sherwood contributed grading design for a 10.6-acre lake that holds 80 acre-feet of water with passive and active wetland shelves to improve and maintain water quality. Suction lines remove water from the deep sections of the lake and send water through bio-filters located on the active wetland shelves to remove sediment. Passive wetland shelves are planted with native plantings that naturally remove sediment from the water. An aeration system was also designed to increase water quality in the lake. Grading design included using 130,000 cubic yards of excavation from the lake on site to create land forms on the 42 acre site.
