About this Project
The Hardberger Park Land Bridge is a 150-feet wide land bridge that connects the two sides of Hardberger Park which are separated by Wurzbach Parkway. As part of the bridge design, Sherwood designed an underground cistern to collect and store storm water and be used for irrigation of the bridge landscape. A 24-acre watershed will drain to the underground cistern which is made up of modular storage units and has a high performance modular bio-filtration system at the top to cleanse the storm water before it is stored in the tanks. The underground cistern can hold up to 250,000 gallons of water and will provide 75 percent of irrigation demand.
