About this Project
Sherwood was on a team that was tasked with the phased redevelopment and expansion of the Center for Early Education campus that resides along a busy through-way on the line where West Hollywood and Beverly Hills neighborhoods meet. The school acquired multiple neighboring parcels to expand the school and reconstruct their La Cienega Building (+/- 30,000 GSF), Clinton Street Building (+/-30,000 GSF) and double the size of the underground parking garage. This project included streetscape improvements along all three frontages of the project: Clinton Street, La Cienega Boulevard and North Alfred Street. Additionally, the work entailed significant expansion/improvements of the outdoor playfield and the full improvements for realignment of the public street that runs behind the school. Sherwood also contributed in leading the development of the project’s sustainability strategy that led to comprehensive campus-wide groundwater and stormwater collection. Additionally, Sherwood engineered the water storage and treatment systems to comply with local regulation.
